Prayer in this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the transfer/posting order dated 23.02.2026 (Annexure P-1) passed by the office of respondent No.1 whereby the petitioner has been transferred from District Mansa to District Sri Muktsar Sahib, Punjab, in violation of Transfer Policy dated 29.03.2010 (Annexure P-2) issued by the office of respondent No.1 Further a writ of mandamus has been sought, directing the respondents to stay the operation of impugned order dated 23.02.2026 (Annexure P-1) during the pendency of the writ petition.

the petitioner is serving as Lineman with unblemished service record in the office of respondent No.2. Vide office order dated 23.02.2026 (Annexure P-1), the petitioner
