Present petition has been filed under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 seeking grant of regular bail to the petitioner, in case bearing FIR No.293 dated 26.11.2025, registered for the offences punishable under Section 308(5) of the BNS, 2023 (corresponding Section 386 of IPC) [Section 351(3) of BNS (corresponding to Section 506 IPC) added later on], at Police Station Shahkot, District Jalandhar.

2. The gravamen of the allegations against the petitioner is that the complainant, namely Sunny Pasi, alleged that on 24.11.2025, he received a call from an unknown mobile number, wherein the caller demanded a sum of ₹

10 lakhs and threatened to kill him in case of non-compliance.
