The prayer in the present petition under Section 483 BNSS, 2023 is for the grant of regular bail in case bearing FIR No.80 dated 15.06.2023 registered under Sections 22 & 29 of NDPS Act at Police Station Barnala, District Barnala.

2. The brief facts of the case are that Gurpreet Singh @ Meet (petitioner) was apprehended with ALPRASAFE-0.5 (totaling 19,200 in number) and Tramatrust SR 100 (totaling 2500 in number) along with drug money of Rs.30,000/-.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case. The mandatory provisions of Sections 42 and 50 of the NDPS Act have not been complied with in their proper perspective. No independent witness was joined at the time of search and seizure. As the petitioner is a first-time offender, is in custody since 15.06.2023 but only 01 of the 29 prosecu
