The present petition has been filed under Section 439 of Cr.P.C., for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case bearing FIR No.471 dated 14.11.2022 under Sections 302 and 34 of IPC (Sections 376(2) and 201 of IPC added later on) registered at Police Station Sohana, District SAS Nagar, Mohali.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been in custody for 02 years, 01 month and 11 days and out of total 16 cited prosecution witnesses, 06 prosecution witnesses including the complainant have already been examined.
