1. Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in FIR No. 177 dated 05.08.2019, registered under Section 22 of the NDPS Act, 1985 at Police Station Sultanpur Lodhi, District Kapurthala.

Brief facts of the case relevant for the disposal of the present petition are that on 05.08.2019, the petitioner was apprehended by a police party headed by ASI Gurdev Singh and recovery of 255 grams of intoxicant power i.e. Alprazolam was effected from him. He was formally arrested at the spot. He was granted concession of interim bail awaiting the FSL report, vide order dated 07.11.2019, passed by the learned Judge, Special Court, Kapurthala.
