1. In the present petition, the grievance being raised by the petitioner is that the petitioner is entitled for interest on the delayed released of the pensionary benefits, which benefit has been declined wrongly by the respondents while passing the impugned order dated 17.02.2020, copy of which has been appended as Annexure P-11.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner retired from service on 30.09.2017 and despite the fact that there was no

of the pensionary benefits were released after a period of one year and one

month in October 2018 and the rest of the amount alongwith arrears were

only released in April 2019 hence, keeping in view the settled principle of

law settled by the Full Bench of this Court in A.S. Randhawa Vs. State of Punjab and others, 1997(3) SCT 468, to the effect that in case the retiral benefits
