1. Prayer in this petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing respondents No.2 and 5 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No.6 to 11 and to provide security to the petitioners. Further prayer has been made to restrain respondent No.2 from taking any criminal action against the petitioners in any case, at the instance of respondents No.6 to 11.

2. Petitioner No.1 is stated to be a minor. The petitioners have sent a representation dated 17.06.2024 (Annexure P-3) to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur – respondent No.2, to protect their life and liberty at the instance of respondents No.6 to 11.
