1. The instant petition has been filed under Section 407 Cr.P.C. seeking transfer of case bearing No.CHI/379/2024, titled as State of Punjab vs. Shagun Puri alias Shanu, FIR No.0103 dated 25.10.2023, under Sections 406 and 498-A IPC, registered at Police Station Women, Amritsar City, pending in the Court of JMIC, Amritsar to any other Court of competent jurisdiction, at Jalandhar.

2. The brief facts of the case are that FIR was registered against the petitioner under Sections 406 and 498-A IPC with the allegations that the petitioner harassed and teased the complainant. The contents of the FIR are reproduced hereinafter:

“It is requested that I xxxx wife of Shagun Puri @ Shanu D/o Sh. Sunil Seth R/o Chopra House, Gol Hatti Chowk, Hall Bazar, Amritsar. My marriage was solemnized with accused no. 1 Shagun Puri @ Shanu on 03/05/2023 at Resort Imperial Manor, Jalandhar according to Hindu Rites/Rituals and customs. My parents performed the marriage with hustle and bustle and about 650 persons attended the same and a lot of gifts and dowry were given by my parents to my in-laws as per their demands. It is important to mention here that before Roka ceremony my in-laws demanded Innova Car and due to this reason, my parents refused from relationship but my mother-in-law xxxx requested not to break relationship and said that in future this will not happen. The ceremony of Roka was held on 08.12.2022 where in my parents had given gold chain of 2 Tolas and cash amount Rs. 21,000/- to accused no. 1 Shagun Puri @ Shanu and cash amount Rs. 11,000/- to accused no. 2 xxxx and accused no. 3 Kapil Puri and 31 Boxes of Sweets along with Rs. 21,000/- cash were given to other relatives. On date 10/02/2023 at the time of 'Bangle Ceremony'/"Churi', Rs. 11,000/- cash was given by us to the boy accused no. 1 Shagun Puri @ Shanu and 11 Sweets Boxes along with Rs.11,000/- cash were also given to his parents accused no. 2 and 3. Then on 01/05/2023, at the time of 'Shagun Ceremony, my parents gave one gold karah/bracelet of 02 tolas and one solitaire ring to the boy accused no.1 Shagun Puri @ Shanu, a gold set weighing 2.680 tolas to the mother-in-law accused no. 2 xxxx, a gold chain weighing 13.270 grams to the father-in-law accused no. 3 Kapil Puri, a gold chain weighing 16.680 grams to my brother-n-law ('Jeth') Akshay Puri, a gold set weighing 2.5 tolas to the 'Jethani' (W/o brother-in-law Akshay Puri) and one pair of diamond earrings to niece of accused no.1 Shagun Puri @ Shanu, one gold set weighing 1 tola to sister-in-law Sakshi and one Split Air Conditioner make Voltas and one LED TV 40 inches make Samsung were also given in dowry. Besides of these Rs. 1,00,000/- cash was also given to the accused no.1 Shagun Puri @ Shanu, Rs. 21,000/- cash given to accused no. 2 xxxx and to accused no. 3 Kapil Puri, and an amount of Rs. 11,000/- cash was also given to the 'Jeth' and 'Jethani". Along with this all the accused and their relatives were given costly gifts and clothes. On 03/05/2023 on the day of my marriage during 'Milni Ceremony', my parents gave costly blankets to accused no. 2 and 3 and their other relatives. At the time of my marriage my parents had given me as 'Istridhan" for me items of gold and diamond which included one kundan set weighing 122 grams, one gold set weighing 8 tolas, one gold set of 2.5 tolas and two diamond bangles.On the very next day of my marriage, my entire 'Istridhan' was taken by my mother-in-law accused no. 2 xxxx on the pretext that whenever I shall demand, she will
