JASJIT SINGH BEDI, J.(ORAL The prayer in this second petition under Section 483 of Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 is for the grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.22 dated 08.05.2023 under Section 22(C) of NDPS Act 1985 registered at Police Station Mattewal, District Amritsar.

2. The brief facts of the case are that Jagjit Singh was riding a motor cycle whereas Jaspal Singh @ Palli was pillion riding thereon. From the carton in his hands 14,400 intoxicant tablets were recovered subsequently found to contain salt Alprazolam.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case. The mandatory provisions of Sections 42 and 50 of the NDPS Act have not been complied with in their proper perspective. No independent witness was joined at the time of search and seizure.
