1. By invoking Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, the petitioner has prayed for quashing of FIR No.264 dated 24.09.2020 registered under Sections 406 & 498 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (Challan has been presented under Sections 406 & 498-A of IPC) at Police Station City Rupnagar, District Rupnagar (Annexure P-1) and all other subsequent proceedings arising thereof on the basis of compromise dated 03.01.2025 (Annexure P-2) arrived at between the parties.

2. Status report by way of an affidavit of Sh. Rajpal Singh Gill, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division & District Rupnagar, on behalf of respondent No.1-State, filed in the Registry is taken on record.
