AMARJOT BHATTI, J.
1. Petitioner Sumitra has filed instant petition under Section 482
of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 for grant of anticipatory bail
in FIR No.79 dated 16.03.2021 under Sections 363, 366-A, 506 of IPC and
Sections 9 and 10 of Children Marriage Prohibition Act, registered at
Police Station City Narwana, District Jind (Annexure P-1).
2. As per facts of the case, District Child Welfare Committee,
Jind filed application against Kuldeep and Sumitra for taking action against
them for forced marriage of the victim. Victim alleged that she is 16 years

with her mother for the last many years. On 12.01.2021 her mother Sumitra
and Amit abducted her and forced her to marry with Kuldeep. 3 days after
the marriage, her maternal uncle brought her back to his house in Narwana.
She is receiving continuous threats from Kuldeep accused No.1. She
apprehended danger for herself as well as for the family of her maternal
uncle. With these allegations, present FIR has been lodged.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner argued that in pursuance of
order dated 03.10.2025 she has been granted interim bail and accordingly
she has joined the investigation. She is ready to abide by the terms and
conditions of bail order passed by this Court.
4. Status report already filed by the respondent – State through
Registry is taken on record. As per status report, anticipatory bail petition is
opposed. However, learned counsel representing State of Haryana
confirmed that petitioner has joined the investigation and she is not
required for further investigation.
5. Considering the aforesaid factual position, no purpose would
be served by sending the petitioner behind the bars. She has already
cooperated with the investigating agency. Therefore, without expressing
my mind on the merits of the case, interim bail already granted by the
Coordinate Bench vide order dated 03.10.2025 stands confirmed subject to
the same terms and conditions as enshrined under the provision of Section
482 (2) of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
6. Bail petition is accordingly allowed.
