1. Present petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS, seeking quashing of the order/letter dated 13.09.2025 (P-6) passed by Official Respondent No. 2, whereby the representation submitted by the petitioners on 05.06.2025 (P-4) was decided arbitrarily, without due consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case.

2. Earlier, the petitioners had also approcahed this Court by way of filing of petition i.e. CRWP-7191-2025, which was disposed of vide order dated 08.07.2025, observing as under:

“1. This petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to respondents No. 1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of official and private respondents No. 3 to 13 with a further prayer to decide/take action on the representation (Annexure P-4) submitted by the petitioners to respondent No.2.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner has preferred a representation/complaint dated 05.06.2025 (Annexure P-4) to respondent No.2-

Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, DAC Complex, Jalandhar, Punjab but no action has been taken so far. Learned counsel submits that he would be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent No.2- respondent No.2- Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, DAC Complex, Jalandhar, Punjab to look into his representation/complaint and take appropriate steps at the earliest.

3. Notice of motion to the official respondents only.

4. At the asking of the Court, Mr. Kamalpreet Bawa, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents.

5. I have heard learned counsel for the parties.

6. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited prayer made by the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent respondent No.2- Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, DAC Complex, Jalandhar, Punjab to consider and decide the representation/complaint dated 05.06.2025 (Annexure P-4) of the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.”

3. In compliance with the earlier order passed by this Court, the representation has now been considered. After its disposal, the relevant information was forwarded to the Assistant Registrar (Criminal) of this Court by the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, vide letter No. 7512-13 dated 13.09.2025.

Thus, the impugned letter merely constitutes information supplied on the official website of the High Court regarding the final decision on the representation made by the petitioners, in compliance with the directions of this Court.

4. Filing of present petition before this Court is not recognized under the BNSS, as no provision for the same is prescribed therein. However, if the petitioners have any grievance, remedies are available under the procedural law to address any alleged offence committed against the victim.

Accordingly, present petition is dismissed as not maintainable.

5. However, it would be open for the petitioners to avail remedy, if any, in accordance with law.
