The prayer in the present petition under Section 483 BNSS is for the grant of regular bail in case bearing FIR No.199 dated 28.07.2023 (Annexure P-1) registered under Section 22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Patran, District Patiala.

2. The brief facts of the case are that petitioner-Akashdeep Singh @ Akash was apprehended with 1130 intoxicant tablets.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that he has been falsely implicated in the present case. The mandatory provisions of Sections 42 and 50 of the NDPS Act have not been complied with in their proper perspective. No independent witness was joined at the time of search and seizure. He contends that the petitioner is involved in one other case registered against him bearing FIR No.264 dated 24.10.2021 under Sections

18/61/85 of the NDPS Act, 1985, P.S. Lehra. As he is in custo
