1. The instant writ petition impugns the order dated 22.08.2023 (Annexure P-4), vide which, the learned Additional Deputy Commissioner- cum-Appellate Tribunal, Fazilka, has upheld the order dated 05.01.2023 (Annexure P-3), passed by the learned Maintenance Tribunal (respondent no.2), wherethrough the application preferred by respondent No.3 (senior citizen), under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, (the Act of 2007), was allowed.

2. During the course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner points out that the impugned order dated 22.08.2023 (Annexure P-4), has been passed by an authority devoid of statutory jurisdiction, and therefore, warrants interference on this ground alone.

3. Consequently, it is submitted that since the impugned order has not been passed by the statuto
