1. Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, is for grant of interim bail for a period of two months on medical grounds to the petitioner in case arising out of FIR No. 33 dated 01.03.2025, registered under Sections 15, 22 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 at Police Station Patran, District Patiala.

2. It is argued by learned counsel for the petitioner that he has been arraigned as an accused in the aforementioned FIR and is presently lodged in Jail. After his arrest, the petitioner and co-accused were mercilessly beaten by the then SHO Jaspal Sharma, who is now under suspension.
