“Statement of xxxx, daughter of Nirmal Singh, wife of Lovepreet Singh, resident of village Mehmuana, District Faridkot, age about 29 years, Mob No 98776-xxxxx, stated that I am a resident of the above address and I am a BA pass. I was married to Loveprest Singh, son of Darshan Singh, resident of village Mehmuwala, about 04 years ago as per rituals and rites. My husband Lovepreet Singh's relationship with me was very good for 01 year. After that, the behavior of my husband Lovepreet Singh, brother-in-law Harpreet Singh, father-in-law Darshan Singh and mother-in-law Charanjit Kaur was not good towards me. I have been living in my father's village Machaki Kalan for 03 years. I had given an application to the SSP to restitute back to my matrimonial house in which compromise got affected and I moved to my in-laws' house a week later. The relationship of my husband Lovepreet Singh and his in-

laws' family has not been good and at the same time they started fighting with me from the very same day, From the day I went to my matrimonial house my husband Lovepreet Singh did not took tea, water and food prepared by me from me and used to pick fight with me on any pretext, then on 29.8.2025 at around 09-09:30 at night, my husband Lovepreet Singh caught me by the neck and hit me in the cooler fan in the house, it hit me on left side of my forehead and I fell and when I fall, my brother in law Harpreet Singh hit my upper shoulder from backside with his sharp iron object and then my t shirt was torn from the biceps then my brother in law Harpreet Singh caught both my arms and my husband Lovepreet Singh slapped me on the face and pushed me and threw me which hurt my left back and I screamed 'marta-marta' but no one came to my rescue me, my father in law Darshan Singh and mother in law Charanjit Kaur kept watching, I started bleeding profusely, then seeing me bleeding, my husband Lovepreet Singh and brother-in-law Harpreet Singh turned off the lights of the house and ran away from home and then I found myself lying on my back. When my father Nirmal Singh came to know about our fight, my father Nirmal Singh and mother Sukhjit Kaur came on the spot and after a while, they took me to GGSM Hospital, Faridkot, where the doctor is treating me. The reason is that my husband Lovepreet Singh does not want to restitute me in his house, who has kept illegal relations outside the house and my parents are poor. They are demanding more dowry, my husband Lovepreet Singh and in laws family have beaten me up and appropriate legal action should be taken against them. I am writing this statement in the presence of my father Nirmal Singh. I have written a statement to you and read it which is correct.”
