This case was shown in the distribution list from the Court of brother Amarinder Singh Grewal, J. on 17.04.2026. Keeping in view the urgency involved, matter was posted for today i.e. 18.04.2026.

2. Present revision has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution to decide the stay application dated 23.03.2026 (P-2) pending before learned Civil Judge (Junior Division), Amritsar (for short learned trial Court) along with Civil Suit No.1024 of 2026 prior to the date of election i.e. 19.04.2026 fixed by respondent No.2-District Public Relation Officer, Amritsar (DPRO).

3. Learned counsel for petitioner contends that aforesaid stay application has not been decided so far by learned trial Court. He has strenuously argued that now election is fixed for 19.04.2026; originally there were 235 voters and 193 voters have been added in an unauthorized manner just to win the election; hence, prayer is made to stay the upcoming election scheduled for 19.04.2026 till the stay application is decided and/or in alternative directions may be given to learned trial Court to decide the stay application today itself.

4. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the paper-

book.

5. It transpires that initially on 14.03.2026, date for elections was fixed for 29.03.2026. Aggrieved against the unauthorised addition of voters by respondent No.2-DPRO, petitioner filed Civil Suit No. 1024 of 2026 alongwith stay application dated 23.03.2026 (P-2) in which notice was issued to other side alongwith notice regarding interim stay; but only respondent No.1 (defendant No.1 in the suit) has filed written statement.

6. Further transpires that due to some unavoidable circumstances, elections could not be held on 29.03.2026 and, therefore, on 10.04.2026 another Notification was issued for fixing the date for elections on

19.04.2026; however, stay application is still pending.

In view of the above, one thing is clear that petitioner filed application for interim stay on 23.03.2026; has waited for 23 days and filed present revision on 16.04.2026 which was listed first time on 17.04.2026; thus, from 23.03.2026 till 15.04.2026, petitioner was having sufficient time to approach this Court and raise his grievance, but he did not choose to do so for the reasons best known to him.

8. Consequently, this Court has no option except to dismiss the present revision petition.

9. Ordered accordingly.

Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed off.
