[1]. The present Criminal Writ petition has been filed by the petitioners under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of direction to respondent Nos. 1 to 3 so as to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners.

[3]. Mr. Puru Jarewal, D.A.G., Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos. 1 to 3 and requisite copies of the petition have already been supplied to the learned State Counsel by learned counsel for the petitioners.
