The petitioner has filed the instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus for directing the respondents to consider his case for appointment on compassionate grounds in the Department of Education (Schools) on account of death of his mother – Smt. Manjit Kaur on 08.10.2012, while she was in service as Librarian and to consider his appointment from the date of application dated 20.10.2019, with all consequential benefits.
