1. Present civil writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release/pay gratuity, leave encashment and other pending retiral benefits along with interest @18% per annum to the petitioner from the date of his retirement.

2. Learned counsel for respondents No.2 to 4, at the outset, submits that the petitioner served the respondents-Municipal bodies till the date of his retirement i.e. 31.08.2025. Further, respondent No.4 has already released its share in contribution towards retiral dues of the petitioner, at the time of retirement of the petitioner and respondent No.3 has deposited its share with respondent No.2 i.e. Municipal Corporation, Ferozepur, which shall be released during course of the day. Learned counsel submits that share of respondent No.2 towards retiral dues of the petitioner will be released within a period of four months from today.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that at this stage, he would be satisfied, if a direction is issued to respondents No.2 to 4 to provide complete calculations of the provident fund account at the time of releasing the retiral dues to the petitioner.

4. In view of the above, present petition is disposed of. As undertaken by respondents No.2 to 4, pending retiral dues be released in favour of the petitioner. The respondents are further directed to pay the interest on the delayed payment of retiral benefits along with interest @6% per annum, to be computed after two months of his date of retirement i.e. 31.08.2025, in terms of judgment rendered by the Full Bench of this Court in A.S. Randhawa Supg. Engineer (Retd.) Vs. State of Punjab, 1998 (1) SCT 34 till the date of actual payment. The needful be done within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

5. Respondents No.2 to 4 are further directed to provide complete calculations of the provident fund account of the petitioner at the time of releasing the retiral dues to him.

6. The pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
