1. The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to carry out necessary corrections in her birth certificate.

2. The petitioner is a minor girl. She is about 2 years old. As per her birth certificate, her father’s name is Sethi Ram. The birth certificate was issued on 20.11.2023 and her date of birth is 13.11.2023. Her father on the basis of a sworn affidavit and publication in the weekly Official Gazette of India dated 31.05.2025 to 06.06.2025 requested respondent to change his name. His present name is Vivek Kumar and he was earlier known as Sethi Ram. As per petition, a similar application was filed for the correction in the certificate of petitioner’s sister which was allowed vide certificate dated 12.09.
