1. Present petition has been filed praying for the grant of interim bail to the petitioner for a period of 60 days in case bearing FIR No.269, dated 07.10.2025, under Sections 21, 29, 27-B of NDPS Act, registered at Police Station ANTF Wing Mohali (for whole Punjab), District Ferozepur, Punjab.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is behind bars in the present case since 07.10.2025. He has submitted that the delivery of the wife of petitioner is due on 19.07.2026. He has submitted that as the delivery case is a serious one, thus, the presence of the petitioner is required for the safety of his wife and the child. He thus prays for the grant of interim bail to the petitioner.

3. This Court vide order dated 29.05.2026 directed the State to verify the contentions raised by learned counsel for the petitioner and to file the status report.

4. Status report dated 03.06.2026 by way of an affidavit of Bhupinder Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Anti-Narcotics Task Force, Ferozepur Range, Ferozepur on behalf of the respondent-State along with custody certificate of the petitioner have been filed by learned State counsel today in the Court, which are taken on record. Copies thereof have been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner.

5. The relevant part of the report of Senior Medical Officer, Incharge (Annexure R-2/T) would read as under:

"It is verified that the patient Parvinder Kaur (aged 23 years) wife of Mr. Kazdeep Singh, resident of Uggo-Ke, District Ferozepur has LMP date12.10.2025 and estimated date of delivery is 19.07.2026, this is ANC case high risk due to previous LSCS (First C-Section delivery)."

7. Keeping in view the attending facts and circumstances of the cases, specially the medical condition of the wife of petitioner, the Court is of the opinion that the petitioner be granted the concession of interim bail.

8. Hence, the present petition stands disposed of. The petitioner is ordered to be released on interim bail w.e.f. 06.06.2026 to 24.07.2026 on his furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the learned trial Court/Duty Magistrate concerned. The petitioner shall surrender back to the Jail Authorities, concerned on 25.07.2026 at 10.00 A.M. At the time of his release, the Jail Superintendent concerned is directed to intimate the petitioner about the date and time of his surrendering back to the jail.
