1. The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing official respondents to protect the life and liberty of petitioners at the hands of private respondents.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioners, inter alia, contends that the petitioners are major and claimed to have married each other and they seek protection to their life and liberty as they apprehend danger to their lives at the hands of private respondents. Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that the representation submitted by the petitioners before the jurisdictional police authorities is pending consideration and has not been decided till date.
