Vide this petition under Section 528 Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, petitioner seeks directions to learned JMIC, Amritsar to decide CRM No.1385 of 2025 titled ‘State of Punjab Vs. Untraced Cancellation’ in a time bound manner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that police filed untraced report in FIR No.323 dated 14.12.2022 under Sections 447, 511, 427 Indian Penal Code, Police Station Jandiala, District Amritsar Rural on 07.04.2025. The case was adjourned on a number of occasions and on 10.08.2026, after recording statement of the complainant, a protest petition was received by the Court. The case was now pending for consideration on the protest petition. She prays that learned trial Court be directed to decide the protest petition in time bound manner, as petitioner was to go abroad.

The protest petition has been filed on 10.08.2026. The matter does not appear to be inordinately delayed by the Court concerned. No directions for expeditious disposal of the protest petition are necessitated as the case cannot be given a preferential treatment over and above much older and more important cases requiring time and priority of the Court.

The petition stands disposed of.

Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, stand disposed of.
