1. This Civil Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction, especially a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the selection and consequential appointment of respondent No. 3 to the post of Assistant Professor (BC-B category) in the Department of Mass Communication of the respondent-University, as declared vide result/announcement dated 15.05.2026 (Annexure P-11) and appointment letter dated 15.05.2026 (Annexure P-12), on the ground that the same is in violation of the mandatory qualification of Ph.D. prescribed for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor. The petitioner also seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner, being duly qualified and the next eligible candidate, to the said post, with all consequential benefits.

2. Mr. Manish Kumar Singla, Advocate appearing on behalf of respondents No.1 and 2 has filed power of attorney, which is taken on record. Registry is directed to tag the same at appropriate place.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner at this stage wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to file afresh with better particulars.

4. In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty aforesaid.

5. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall also stand disposed of.
