1. On the last date of hearing, i.e., 15.09.2026, the following order was passed :-
“The petitioner has filed the instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to conclude the departmental disciplinary proceedings arising out of charge-sheet dated 08.06.2026 (Annexure P- 1) issued against the petitioner, within a time bound period of six months, in accordance with law and thereafter, consider the petitioner for promotion from the post of Junior Engineer to the post of Additional Assistant Engineer (Electrical), along with all consequential benefits.
On receipt of advance copy of the petition, Ms.
Palika Monga, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of the respondents-PSPCL and seeks time to get instructions with regard to finalization of the departmental inquiry initiated on issuance of charge-sheet dated
08.06.2026 (Annexure P-1). Adjourned to 22.09.2026.”
2. Learned counsel for the respondents-PSPCL has produced a copy of communication issued by Senior Executive Engineer, Operation Division, PSPCL, Jalalabad, to the learned counsel for the respondents, wherein it has been stated that the inquiry proceedings shall be concluded in a prescribed timeline as per instructions dated 03.08.2026 and since the charge-sheet in the present case was issued on 08.06.2026, the inquiry shall be concluded before 07.12.2026 and the disciplinary authority shall finalize the proceedings, on receipt of the inquiry report, by 07.03.2027. The said communication is taken on record and copy thereof has been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner.
##PAGE2##3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the above, the instant petition has been rendered infructuous.
4. Disposed of as having become infructuous.
