1.The petitioners participated in the process of selection for appointment on the post of Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination – 2022. The petitioners were found qualified in the written test and thereafter, both were put for medical examination and during that process the petitioners were found to be unfit as defective distance vision was found in their eyes and the vision was found to be 6/9.
2.Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that when the medical examination of the petitioners was conducted by the authorities, there was a spread of conjunctivitis due to which the petitioners were suffering from conjunctivitis and on account of the said disease suffered by the petitioners, their vision was not found to be correct and accordingly, they were declared as unfit. Learned counsel submits that consequently, they got themselves examined in the Ophthalmology Department, SMS Hospital, Jaipur where their vision was found to be 6/6.
