1. The instant criminal miscellaneous application has been preferred on behalf of the petitioner seeking correction of some clerical error in the final order passed in S.B. Criminal Revision Petition No. 307/2024.

It has been averred in the application that the revision petition was listed before the Court on 28.01.2026, on which day counsel for the parties were heard at length and the arguments were concluded. It is further averred that the arguments had continued for a considerable length of time and since various issues were involved in the matter, a brief order was dictated containing only the operative part and the matter was kept for dictation of the detailed judgment in chamber. It is also averred that ultimately the order came to be finally communicated/pronounced and uploaded on 19.02.2026 on the website of the Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur. However, owing to clerical/typographical error, the date of the order was depicted as 28.01.2026, whereas the same was pronounced and uploaded on 19.02.2026. The applicant has, therefore, prayed that the aforesaid clerical/typographical error be corrected in the interest of justice.

3. The record has been carefully perused.

From the order sheet and the original record, it is evident that though the operative result was pronounced in open Court on 28.01.2026 upon conclusion of arguments, the detailed judgment was dictated, signed and uploaded on 19.02.2026. The mention of the date “28.01.2026” in the judgment is apparently an inadvertent clerical/typographical error, since the order in fact was dictated, signed and uploaded on 19.02.2026. The formal pronouncement on 28.01.2026 was confined to the operative part, and the detailed reasoned judgment was dictated separately in chambers after few days subsequently. This Court feels that indeed there is an error and the same should be rectified appropriately.

5. The correction sought does not involve any alteration of the reasoning, findings or the operative portion of the judgment. It is confined solely to rectification of the date so as to bring the record in conformity with the actual date of signing of the judgment and uploading on the website. Such rectification of a clerical or typographical error or may be slip of mind but permissible under the law and does not amount to a review or modification of the judgment on merits.

6. In view of the above, the application deserves to be allowed. Accordingly, it is directed that the date “28.01.2026” appearing in the full judgment passed in S.B. Criminal Revision Petition No. 307/2024 shall be read as “19.02.2026”. All other contents of the judgment shall remain unaltered and unaffected.

7. A copy of this order incorporating the corrected date be uploaded on the website of the Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur.
