1. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that rampant constructions are being made in and around the lake of Mount- Abu. Photographs have been annexed along with the Google location. That apart, he submits that multi-storied buildings are standing up all around Mount-Abu, in-spite of there being a restraint order passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court. Reserved forest lands are also being encroached upon and instances relating to village Danav, Village Umarni and areas around Shantivan/Manmohini Complex and Anand Sarovar have been cited. It is also stated that Brahmakumari Sansthan, Shantivan are also raising illegal constructions.
2. We are alarmed by the situation. More so, as Mount-Abu is one of the most protected wildlife sanctuaries duly notified. Statutory provisions and prohibitions have also been notified and in-spite there to, constructions are being made and the same shall spoil the complete ecology of the area.
3. Issue notice to respondents No.4, 5, 6, 11 and 12 by ordinary as well as registered post.
4. Learned Additional Advocate General accepts notice on behalf of Government of Rajasthan.
5. The District Collector, Sirohi, the Sub-Divisional Officer, Abu Road, District Sirohi and the Tehsildar, Abu Road, District Sirohi shall remain present before this Court on the next date of hearing.
6. In the meanwhile, it is directed that no construction shall be done in any part of the Mount-Abu region, without permission of this Court. The concerned Additional S.P. shall be responsible if any construction is allowed.
7. List this case on 24th March 2026.
