1. The present criminal writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction that the investigation of five FIRs registered against the SNG Group be transferred to the Special Operations Group (SOG) instead of being conducted by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the Commissioner of Police.

Learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner-company submits that the allegations levelled in the FIRs are very serious in nature, and therefore, the investigation of the said FIRs ought to be conducted by senior police officers of the Special Operations Group (SOG) instead of the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

3. In support of his contentions, learned counsel for the petitioner has relied upon various judgments, which are as under:-

i. Central Bureau of Investigation Vs. State of Rajasthan & Anr., reported in (2001) 3 SC 333 ii. Chandra Babu Alias Moses Vs. State through Inspector of Police and Ors., reported in 2015 (8) SCC 774 iii. Vinubhai Haribhai Malaviya and Ors. Vs. The State of Gujarat and Anr., reported in JT 2019 (10) SC 537

Learned Government Advocate-cum-Additional Advocate General has opposed the petition and submits that considering the seriousness of the matter, the Commissioner of Police, in its wisdom, constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate into all the FIRs vide order dated 14.11.2025 (Annexure-3) and, therefore, it cannot be said that the police officials are not serious in conducting the investigation of the so called FIRs lodged by the petitioner-company against the SNG Group.

5. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.

This criminal writ petition filed on behalf of the petitioner deserves to be dismissed; for the reasons: firstly, the Commissioner of Police has already constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate into the FIRs lodged by the petitioner-company; secondly, the officers posted in the Special Operations Group (SOG) and the SIT both belong to the Rajasthan Police, and therefore, it cannot be said that the police authorities are not serious in investigating the so called FIRs, in view thereof, no case is made out for interference by this Court.

8. Accordingly, the present criminal writ petition stands dismissed.
