1. In the present writ petition, petitioner has come up with a grievance that in the marksheet of Class-XII issued by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, his particulars, i.e., Name and Father's Name are mentioned as "Raju Lal Meghwal S/o Bala Ram Meghwal", whereas in the marksheet of Class-X, issued by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan in the year 2011, his Name and Father's Name came to be mentioned as "Raju Lal S/o Bala Ram", hence, a prayer has been made that the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, be directed to correct the Name and Father's Name of petitioner in marksheet/certificate of Class-X in the similar manner as mentioned in the marksheet/certificate of Class-XII.

2. It has been submitted that petitioner sent a written application through registered post dated 27.10.2025 to the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, praying to make such correction, but same has not been considered. Hence, this writ petition has been filed.

On behalf of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, reply to the writ petition has been filed and it has been pointed out that as per 'अनुदेशि(cid:7)का-2020', petitioner is required to submit an appropriate application with requisite documents and to pay requisite fee, to seek correction in his Name and Father's Name.

4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, brought to the notice of the Court relevant Clause (5) of 'अनुदेशि(cid:7)का-2020', which is being reproduced hereunder:

"(5) (i) परीक्षार्थी(cid:15) के नाम/मध्यनाम / उपनाम में शिपता के नाम / मध्य नाम / उपनाम व माता करे नाम/मध्य नाम/उपनाम की वत(cid:22)नी में सं(cid:7)ोधन के शि(cid:27)ये 5 वर्ष(cid:22) की सीमा (cid:27)ागू नही ंहोगी। इसी प्रकार बोर्ड(cid:22) की शिवशि&न्न परीक्षाओ ं के प्र(cid:27)ेखो ं में &ी अन्तर है तो सं(cid:7)ोधन हेतु 5 वर्ष(cid:22) की सीमा (cid:27)ागू नही ं होगी। छात्र/छात्रा यशिद अपने स्वयं / शिपता/माता के / मध्यनाम/उपनाम की यत(cid:22)नी को सही कराना चाहे तो सं(cid:7)ोधन हेतु प्रधानाध्यापक की अनु(cid:7)ंर्षा के सार्थी कक्षा-8 की अंकताशि(cid:27)का, (cid:7)ा(cid:27)ा का स्कॉ(cid:27)र रशि2स्टर, प्रदे(cid:7) आवेदन-पत्र एवं पूव(cid:22) (cid:7)ा(cid:27)ा की टी.सी. इत्याशिद मू(cid:27) प्र(cid:27)ेखों सशिहत vFkok प्रस्तुत प्र(cid:27)ेखो ं के आधार पर स्वयं के (cid:7)पर्थी पत्र व (cid:7)ा(cid:27)ा रिरकॉर्ड(cid:22) की प्रमाशि:त प्रशित के आधार पर शिनयमानुसार सही पाये 2ाने पर शिनस्तार: शिकया 2ा सके गा। वत(cid:22)नी व स्पेस में सं(cid:7)ोधन संबंशिधत शिवद्यार्थी(cid:15) के घोर्ष:ा पत्र तर्थीा कोई (cid:7)ैक्षशि:क दस्तावे2 की रा2पशित्रत अशिधकारी से प्रमाशि:त प्रशित प्रस्तुत शिकये 2ाने के पश्चात् उसके आधार पर शिकया 2ा सके गा।

(ii) सं(cid:7)ोधन हेतु (cid:7)ुल्क शिनयमानुसार होगा & छात्र/छात्रा के नाम /शिपता/माता

का नाम में वत(cid:22)नी एवं स्पेस सं(cid:7)ोधन न्यूनतम :

200/- छात्र की त्रुशिट पाये

:

2ाने पर, तत्पश्चात् अशितरिरक्त 50/-

:

प्रशितवर्ष(cid:22), अशिधकतम 1000/-

छात्र/छात्रा मध्यनाम / उपनाम व शिपता/

माता का मध्यनाम/उपनाम हेतु

:

न्यूनतम 200/- छात्र की त्रुशिट पाये 2ाने

:

पर, तत्पश्चात् अशितरिरक्त 100/-

:

प्रशितवर्ष(cid:22), अशिधकतम 2000/-"

In addition, counsel for respondents-Board submits that the original marksheet/certificate of Class-X shall required to be submitted by the petitioner, in order to issue fresh marksheet/certificate with the correct name of petitioner and his father as prayed.
