Leave granted. The appellants – Rakesh Kumar Singh and Varun Kumar Singh seek anticipatory bail in the First Information Report1 no. 120/2022, dated 13.08.2022, registered with Police Station – Watgunge, District – Kolkata, West Bengal for the offence(s) punishable under Sections 341, 324, 307 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, 1959. The alleged occurrence is dated 13.08.2022, at about 6.30 p.m. The appellant - Rakesh Kumar Singh alongwith his associates named in the FIR, allegedly, had abused, wrongfully restrained, tried to strangulate, and had beaten up the informant/complainant – Md. Nazib Khan with a revolver and an iron rod. Learned counsel for the appellants submits that the appellants - Rakesh Kumar Singh and Varun Kumar Singh have been falsely implicated.
