SONAM – Appellant
Versus
STATE OF PUNJAB – Respondent

O R D E R

Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material placed on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the period of incarceration undergone by the petitioner, i.e almost one and half year, and in particular the fact that the two eye- witnesses have turned hostile, we are inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, in the facts and circumstances of the case, we direct that the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as may be imposed by the Trial Court in connection with FIR No.6 of 2024 dated 23.01.2024 registered at Police Station Basti Jodhewal, District Ludhiana, Punjab.

It goes without saying that the petitioner will extend all co-operation during the trial.

In the event the Trial Court or the State finds that the petitioner is delaying the conclusion of trial, it will be open for them to approach this Court for recall of this order.

The Special Leave Petition and pending applications are disposed of accordingly.
