UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following
O R D E R
1. IA No. 251212/2024 has been filed by the applicant- respondent No.9 for modification of this Court’s order dated 16th September, 2015.
2. Vide the aforesaid order, this Court directed respondent No.9 therein to protect the life and liberty of the writ petitioner before this Court and members of her family. Now, the present application has been filed by the applicant/respondent No.9 for modification of the aforesaid order passed by this Court.
3. On perusal of the record, we find that security was granted to the writ petitioner and her family members by this Court’s order dated 16th September, 2015. The Writ Petition was disposed of on 21st August, 2019. Some of criminal cases have already been disposed whereas some cases are still stated to be pending.
4. Be that as it may, providing security cover to an individual cannot be permanent on the basis of an order passed by the Court. It is always for the authorities concerned to review the same periodically and in case the security is required, it should be provided.
5. Hence, we modify the order passed by this Court earlier in the Writ Petition and leave it open to the authority concerned to review the threat perception to the petitioner’s family members because the petitioner has given her written consent to withdraw the security. In case security cover is required for attending hearing of any pending case, that may be provided adequately.
6. M.A.No.1839 of 2025 (IA No.251212 of 2024) for modification of the order of this Court dated 16th September, 2015 stands disposed of in terms aforesaid.
