Facts of the case:
The case involved a large number of petitions/appeals listed in chambers. Counsel for various petitioners sought permission to withdraw their respective matters. In one instance, a matter was withdrawn on the specific ground of it being non-maintainable. In other matters, counsel submitted that registry-pointed defects had been cured, while for the remainder, time was sought to cure such defects.
