2026 Supreme(Online)(SC) 295

SUPREME COURT OF INDIA
EMAAR INDIA LIMITED – Appellant
Versus
SANJAY MANIDHAR & ANR. – Respondent

ORDER

We find no grounds made out to interfere with the judgment and order dated 15.02.2022 passed by the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, “NCDRC”, for short New Delhi, in Consumer Case No. 3525/2017, which was thereafter affirmed on 10.07.2023 in Review Application No. 74/2022. The issue stands squarely covered by the earlier decision of this Court in Civil Appeal No. 4986/2018, titled “M/s. Emaar MGF Land Ltd. vs. Kumar Rishabh & Anr.” and connected matters, confirming the judgment dated 02.11.2017 passed by the NCDRC in Consumer Case No. 34/2015 and connected cases, relating to the very same project, whereby the grant of simple interest at the rate of 8% per annum stood confirmed.

The civil appeals are, accordingly, dismissed.

Time is extended by four weeks from today to comply fully with the judgment of the NCDRC.

Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
