VERSUS RAJIT SINGH RESPONDENT(S)

O R D E R

1. This Court by its order dated 12.01.2026 directed the parties to appear before the Supreme Court Mediation Centre for resolution of their matrimonial disputes.

2. We are informed by the counsel for the parties that the parties, who are present in Court today, have amicably settled all the disputes and have reduced the settlement terms into writing in the form of Settlement Agreement, which reads thus:

"SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT This Settlement Agreement is entered into between Petitioner- Ms. Poonam W/o Mr. Rajit Singh, D/o Shri Moolchand, R/o. B-299, Vidyut Signature Not Verified DEEPAK SINGH Date: 2026.03.19 Nagar, Police Station Jarcha, District Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Reason:

Pradesh (here in after referred to as Petitioner/wife) and Mr. Rajit Singh S/o Shri Rambir Singh R/o H. No. DG-121, Ward No. 07, Subhash Market, Village Tauru, Mewat, District Nuh, Haryana Pin code- 122105 (here in after referred to as Respondent/Husband).

1. Whereas the marriage between the petitioner and respondent/ husband was solemnized as per Hindu rites and ceremonies on 02.12.2010 at Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. After marriage parties resided together at Village Tauru District Nuh, Haryana and there are 2 children namely “SHAURYA PRATAP SINGH” aged about 15 years and “RUDRA PRATAP SINGH” aged about 13 years out of this wedlock.

2. Both the parties resided together as husband and wife till 24.07.2024, and thereafter disputes and differences arose between the parties and since then she is staying with her parents at NTPC Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. The Respondent/ Husband has filed Divorce Petition being DMC/80/2024, titled as Rajit Singh Vs Poonam before the Principal Judge, Family Court at Nuh, Haryana seeking dissolution of marriage.

3. Whereas the Parties have filed following cases against each other:- (i) Respondent/ Husband has filed Divorce Petition being DMC/80/2024, titled as Rajit Singh Vs Poonam before the Principal Judge, Family Court at Nuh, Haryana.

(ii) Petitioner/wife has filed Maintenance Case No. 927 of 2025, Under Section 144 BNSS, pending before Principal Judge, Family Court, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.

(iii) Petitioner/wife has filed Case No. 4018 of 2025, titled as Poonam Vs Rajit Singh, Under Section 12 of Domestic Violence Act, pending before Ld. Magistrate, Gautam Budha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.

(iv) Petitioner/wife has filed a Complaint Under Section 173 (4)

BNSS. Complaint No. 99 of 2025 titled as Smt. Poonam Vs Shri Rajit Singh before Civil Judge, Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.

4. Whereas Hon’ble Supreme Court vide Order dated 12.01.2026 in Transfer Petition (Civil) No. 3087 of 2025 has referred the matter to Supreme Court Mediation Centre. Comprehensive mediation sessions were held between the parties and their respective advocates on 23.01.2026, 27.01.2026, 28.01.2026, 02.02.2026 (physical and virtual both) and today i.e. 25.02.2026 (physically for signing of the present Settlement Agreement). 5. Both the parties hereto have arrived at an amicable settlement on the following terms and conditions for dissolution of marriage by mutual consent:-

A. That the parties have agreed that the Respondent-husband will pay to the Petitioner-wife a total sum of Rs. 45,00,000/- (Rupees Forty Five Lakhs Only) towards full and final settlement of all her claims towards her permanent alimony, Stridhan, maintenance (past, present, future) and any other claim whatsoever.

B. It is agreed between the parties that they will move an application jointly before the Hon’ble Supreme Court on or before 31.03.2026 under Article 142 of Constitution of India for invoking inherent powers of the Hon’ble Supreme Court praying for divorce by mutual consent as parties are staying separately since 24.07.2024 and there is irretrievable break down of the marriage.
