The Complainants herein have stated that they have been banking with the State Bank of India, Bokaro Steel City (opposite party). They had Saving Bank Account and several High Value Fixed Deposit Accounts for nearly last four decades.

They have stated that they had approached the opposite party for allotment of a Safe Deposit Locker and accordingly, the opposite party allotted Safe Deposit Locker to them. The main complaint is that the complainants’ Safe Deposit Locker was subjected to a theft in the night of 25/26.12.2017 and as a result thereof, various items including jewellery and postal deposit instruments were stolen and all jewellery and valuables were taken away by the miscreants as a result of which the complainants suffered huge monetary loss and mental trauma.

According to the complainants they had kept their gold jewellery, silver items, antique silver coins- ancestral and inherited from generation to generation, but on
