HON’BLE JUSTICE SRI. B.SUDHEENDRAKUMAR: PRESIDENT The appellants are the opposite parties in C.C.No.23/2020 on the files of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Palakkad (for short, ‘the District Commission’).
2. The daughter of the complainant joined “Nucleus Centre” at Palakkad for NEET coaching on 29.06.2019. The coaching fee for one year, including GST of 18% was Rs.18,000/-, which had to be paid within one month. The classes used to be held on Sundays. The complainant paid an amount of Rs.10,000/- as advance for the said course. Later on, the complainant joined ‘Unique Integrated Full Time Plus Two Course’ (UFIP + 1) by paying an amount of Rs.1,02,100/- including GST of Rs.17,100/- for a period of one year. The complainant paid the said amount of Rs.1,02,100/- after deducting the advance amount of Rs.10,000/- already paid by the complainant. There were problems in the hostel. That apart, even though the daughter of the complainant had joined after the commencement of the course, no extra class was taken by the teachers to cover up the portion already completed as promised by the opposite parties.
