2. The Appellant herein before this Commission was the original Complainant before District Commission, North and the Respondents herein were the Opposite Parties. The parties shall be herein after be referred to as per their status in the Complaint.

A. The contention of the Complainant is:

ii. The agent then suggested a plan known as ‘Jeevan Saral Policy” for the amount of Rs.10,00,000/- for Complainant-1 and Rs.5,00,000/- for Complainant-2. As stated by the Complainant-1 that Complainant-1 was given to understand that if he invests in this policy for himself and his wife then it would be good savings for their old age. The Complainant-1 was explained that he had to pay a premium of Rs.48,040/- and Complainant-2 had to pay a premium of Rs.24,020/- annually for a period of 10 years and at the time of maturity of the policy that is after the completion of 10 years, he would get Rs.10,00,000/- and his wife Complainant-2 would get Rs.5,00,000/-.
