ORDER

HON’BLE JUSTICE SRI. B. SUDHEENDRA KUMAR : PRESIDENT This application has been filed by the complainant in C.C.No.685/2018 on the files of the District Consumer Redressal Commission, Thrissur (for short ‘the District Commission’), praying for transferring the above complaint to the District Commission, Kozhikode.

2. The applicant has no representation.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the respondents and perused the application. 4. It is contended that the husband of the applicant is having cardiac disease and hence she has to look after him. She is presently residing in Kozhikode. She is having health problems after the surgery and, hence, she is not in a position to travel nearly 150 km to reach the District Commission, Thrissur from the place where she is residing. We are satisfied from the reasons stated in the application that it is only just and proper to transfer the above complaint to the District Commission, Kozhikode, to secure the ends of justice. It is ordered accordingly.

In the result, this transfer application stands allowed and C.C.No.685/2018 on the files of the District Commission, Thrissur stands transferred to the District Commission, Kozhikode. The District Commission, Thrissur is directed to transmit the records forthwith to the District Commission, Kozhikode with due notice to the parties. The District Commission, Kozhikode is directed to take the complaint into its files, renumber the complaint and proceed with the complaint in accordance with law, affording reasonable opportunity to both sides to substantiate their contentions. Needless to state that the District Commission, Kozhikode shall issue notice to the parties before proceeding with the complaint.
