23.05.2024 passed by District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Jalandhar (in short, “the District Forum”), whereby the consumer complaint filed by the appellant/complainant was disposed of for want of prosecution.

This application has been filed by the applicant/appellant for condoning the delay of 117 days in filing the present appeal on the ground that the counsel of the complainant inadvertently noted down the wrong date as 24.07.2024 instead of 23.05.2024 and when the counsel appeared before the District Commission for putting his appearance on 24.07.2024 he came to know that the case has been dismissed in-default on 23.05.2024. Thereafter, the complainant filed the appeal on 26.08.2024 but the registry raised some objections and for removing the same and in this manner the delay has been increased to 117 days.
