O R D E R

T.P.S. MANN J.

1. Opposite Parties-Appellants-Post Office and others, have filed the instant appeal under Section 41 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 for challenging the order dated 28.03.2024 passed by the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Palwal whereby complaint filed by the complainantswasallowed with directions:-

“9. Resultantly, the complaint of the complainants is hereby accepted and we direct the OPs to pay the same rate of interest on the maturity amount of each MIS at the rate contracted for original MISs purchased by the complainants with effect from the respective date of original maturity of each MIS bearing account Nos.39155, 139156, 139363, 139364 and 138852 after deducting the amount which was already paid in respect of these five policies, to the complainants till its actual realization. The OPs are further directed to pay the pending EMIs of Rs.333/- in respect of each policy along with interest @ 8% per annum from the due date of each EMIs after deducting already paid amount, if any, till actual realization, to the complainants. The OPs are further directed to pay Rs.20,000/- (Twenty thousand only) as mental harassment and agony and Rs.5500/- (Five thousand five hundred only) as litigation expenses, to the complainants. The OPs jointly and severally shall make the compliance of this order within 45 days from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.”
