This is the revision petition filed under S.47 (1) (b) of the Consumer Protection Act 2019 ( in short the C.P. Act ) challenging the ex-parte order passed against the revision petitioners in consumer complaint C.C.No.98/2024 by the District Consumer Commission Latur ( in short the District Commission ).

2. The facts relevant to this revision petition are that, respondent no.1 filed the consumer complaint 98/2024 against the revision petitioners and remaining respondents before the District Commission alleging deficiency in service and unfair trade practice on their part. The complaint gets admitted on 15.04.2024 and notices were issued to revision petitioners and respondent no. 2 to 8. As the envelope containing notices were return to District Commission with postal remark “Refused” therefore the District Commission on 31.05.2024 passed the “ex- parte” order against the revision petitioners and respondent no. 2 to 8. Being aggrieved thereby the revision petitioners are before us in this revision petition.

3. The notices of this revision petition were issued to respondents and after service of notice, respondent no. 1 appeared through Adv.Yerte and respondent no.2 Nandkishor Soni, appeared in person before this commission. Respondent no. 3,4,5,6,7, and 8 are duly served but remained absent till today. Hence, as per order dated 01.01.2025 this revision petition proceeded ex-parte against respondent no. 3 to 8.

4. Heard Adv. Jawalkar for revision petitioner, Adv. Yerte for respondent no.1 and Nandkishor Soni, respondent no.2 in person. We have gone through entire record of the case.
