This complaint is filed seeking direction to the opposite party to pay Rs.1,98,40,000/- with interest at 24o/o and also award future loss of income for 12 years for the 400 Mango Trees at Rs.3,84,00,000/-.

2. The brief facts of the complaint is that, complainant Nos.1 & 2 are the sister and brother. Land in Sy. No.201/4 measuring 07 acres of land situated at Sikkindarpura Village, Kamathana Hobli, Bidar Taluk, belonging to the complainants standing in the ^{name of} complainant No,1, In the said land they have ^grown the Mango and Malbar Neem tree and there is an ^IP pump set in the said land with electricity connection RR bearing No. SDIP-36159. The land was fitted with the drip irrigation to the IP ^pump set. The complainants have since taken electricity from the opposite ^parties they become the consumers. The opposite ^parties have drawn 433 watts of electric write line in the said land to contact the other surrounding area and electrical work was done by the opposite ^party No.4.

an electric arking and short circuit in the line drawn ^{on the} land of the complainants. Due to ^{which the 400} Mango Trees and 800 Neem Trees were burnt. ^The opposite parties are not ^{properly maintained the} electrical lines and because of ^{negligent act of the} opposite parties ^the electric ark ^{was caused the short} circuit. The incident was reported to ^the GESCOM/opposite ^parties who have visited ^{the spot} and inspected the same and also the ^Electrical Inspector of Government of Karnataka ^{has inspected} the spot and assessed the damage. ^{The Executive} Engineer, GESCOM, has also confirmed the ^electrical arking, not ^properly maintaining the ^{electrical line}, On 14.72.2019 at about 01.00 PM, there was cause of the incident. Thasildhar also ^{inspected the} spot. Police have also inspected the spot and the Horticulture Department at Rs.72,2BBl- per tree ^and Malabar Neem Trees were made by the ^Forest Department at Rs.9,156/- ^per tree. The complainant has suffered the loss ^of income due to burning ^of, valuation of the Mango Trees were made by the trees and the income even if it is taken ^{for minimum of} 03 years, they could have earned ^{not less than} Rs.64,00,000/-. Since the opposite ^{parties have failed} to compensate the complainants, ^{pleading deficiency of} service they have filed the ^{present complaint.}

3. Opposite ^parties have ^filed the ^{version opposing the} claim by filing their version denying ^{the contentions} raised by the complainants. It ^{is contended that,} Under Section 161 of the ^{Indian Electricity Act, there is} no provision for ^providing damage to ^{the trees, as it} covers only human and animal damage. ^{There is no} part, deficiency of service on their ^{Complainants are} not entitled for any compensation. ^The
