ORDER

In these Writ Petitions, the petitioners are seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not extending the benefit of minimum time scale of pay plus dearness allowance attached to the posts held by the petitioners, including annual grade increments as illegal and arbitrary and consequently to direct the respondents to pay the minimum time scale of pay along with the dearness allowance and Annual Grade increments and to pass such other order or orders.

2. Brief facts leading to the filing of the present writ petitions are that the petitioners have been engaged to discharge their duties on daily wage basis against the sanctioned posts. Most of the petitioners are working for more than 10 years. On the ground that they are discharging same functions as the regular employees, the petitioners are seeking extension of minimum time scale of pay as directed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the case of State of Punjab vs. Jagjit Singh 1 . When both the above writ petitions have come up for admission, this Court vide orders, dated 19.07.2021 and 22.07.2021 gave interim direction to pay the minimum time scale of pay as per the Ju
