ORDER:
This Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, seeking the following relief:
“….to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring action of the respondents in not reserving the mandated 33 1/3 % vacancies for women category instead of only reserving 10% of the vacancies in each category for women for the post of Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT), Reserve Sub-Inspector of Police (AR) (Men and Women) in the Police Department, pursuant to the Notification No.Rc.No.01/Rect./Admn/2016 dated 06.02.2016 as illegal and arbitrary, in violation of A.P.State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, A.P. Police (SCT) Rules, 1999 (Adaptation Order) 2015 issued by the Government Telangana vide G.O.Ms.No.96, Home (Legal) Department dated 31.12.2015 and the amendments thereon, and in violation of Articles 14, 16 of the Constitution of India …”
