COMMON JUDGMENT:

1. These two appeals are being disposed of by this common judgment since M.A.C.M.A.No.126 of 2016, filed by the Insurance Company, challenging the quantum of compensation and M.A.C.M.A.No.692 of 2016, filed by the claim petitioners, seeking enhancement of compensation, both are directed against the very same order dated 26.10.2015 passed in O.P.No.2256 of 2013, on the file of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal-cum-II Additional Chief Judge, City Civil Court, Hyderabad.

2. For the sake of convenience, the parties are referred as they were arrayed before the learned Tribunal.

3. The brief facts of the case are that the claim petitioners, who are the wife, two sons and parents of Late Chandana Pavani Chandrasekhar (hereinafter referred as “the deceased”), filed a petition under Section 166 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 claiming compensation of Rs.50,00,000/- for the death of the deceased in a motor vehicle accident that took place on 24.02.2013.
