This writ petition is filed by the petitioners seeking to declare the action of the respondents in opening suspect sheet against them as being illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional.

2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, and perused the material available on record.

3. It is submitted that petitioner No.1 is the daughter of petitioner No.2; both the petitioners are home makers. The husband of petitioner No.1 is software professional who handles IT network for an MNC (Multi-National Company). The husband of petitioner No.2 is an Administrative Officer in a University in Hyderabad. It is submitted that the petitioners were booked in Crime Nos.214 of 2022 dated 26.04.2022 and 228 of 2022 dated 01.05.2022 registered with Jubilee Hills Police Station for the offence punishable under Section 380 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the allegation of committing theft of sarees and dress material etc. The said two (2) cases are pending trial in C.C. Nos.3827 of

2022 and 3824 of 2022 on the file of learned XVII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistra
