02. Heard Mr.A.Sudarshan Reddy, learned Advocate General, appearing for Ms. Adepu Divya, learned Special Government Pleader, and learned Government Pleader for Endowments, and perused the material on record. There is no representation on behalf of petitioners.
03. On 03.09.2024 when the matter has been taken up for hearing, the learned Advocate General has placed on record letter dated 25.06.2024 addressed by the Executive Officer, Sri Venugopala Swamy Devasthanam, Manchirevula Village, Gandipet Mandal, Rangareddy District, to the Commissioner, Endowments Department, Hyderabad, stating that plantation of trees has not been taken up under Haritha Haram Programme in the subject temple pursuant to the letter dated 04.07.2016 (impugned in this Writ Petition)
addressed by the Assistant Commissioner, Endowments Department, Hyderabad, with regard to availability of Endowment Lands, till today. It is stated that no plantation under Haritha Haram Programme has been carried out in the subject land and there are no such proposals as on today. Further it is submitted that Haritha Haram Programme under the impugned proceedings has been shelved and thus, cause in this writ petition has become infructuous. Learned Advocate General sought deletion of this matter from the batch and prayed to close this matter as infructuous.
04. As there was no appearance on behalf of petitioners on 03.09.2024, in the interest of justice, to afford an opportunity to the petitioners, this matter has been listed today under the caption ‘for orders’ making clear that, if there is no representation on behalf of petitioners, the writ petition will be closed as infructuous. Even today, there is no representation on behalf of petitioners.
05. In view of the above facts and circumstances of the case and considering the submissions made by learned Advocate General, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in this Writ Petition stand closed.
